All for the vets

Dear Editor:Challenge Aspen would like to thank Aspen Skiing Co. and Snowmass Village for the remarkable support, assistance and generosity extended to nearly 500 veterans and 200 ski instructors who joined our community last week for the 21st Annual National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic, hosted by Challenge Aspen. The “above and beyond the call of duty” dedication of lift operators, ski patrol, volunteers and the Aspen Airport staff assisting veterans made it possible for injured veterans from 19 to 90 to enjoy the skiing and unique hospitality of Aspen/Snowmass.On behalf of everyone associated with Challenge Aspen, thank you.As a result of your tremendous support and the warm hospitality of the Aspen/Snowmass community, Challenge Aspen will continue to provide and increase the number of specialized year-round programs for veterans with all disabilities. This would not be possible without your support. Thank you! Sarah WilliamsManaging program directorChallenge Aspen
