AHS students earn recognition

Aspen Times Staff Report

Two Aspen High School upperclassmen – senior Christina Perri and junior Sascha Anastas – have been named to the list of “Who’s Who Among American High School School Students.”

The honor is extended to 5 percent of U.S. high school students.

Both young women were also selected as ambassadors for the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation Colorado Leadership (HOBY) programs.

Students selected for the “Who’s Who” distinction must have a “B” or better grade-point average, and have demonstrated outstanding leadership in academics, athletics and extracurricular activities.

Perri is a four-year class officer/Student Council member, a soccer and tennis player, an honor roll student and Presidential Scholar, and recently she was selected as a finalist in the Miss Teen Colorado USA program.

Anastas is also an honor roll student, an active participant in the French, Spanish and Varsity clubs, and a soccer and ice hockey player.
