Teen musical ‘Bye Bye Birdie,’ Nov. 13-16

The 7th-12th grade musical set in the 1950s, “Bye Bye Birdie,” will run daily from 7 p.m. Nov. 13-15, with an additional matinee at 2 p.m. Nov. 16. The musical, set in the 1950s, captures an era of rock ‘n’ roll. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students/youth. The runtime is one hour and 20 minutes. Audi Ajax Cup, after-party tickets on sale, Nov. 18

Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club’s annual fundraiser, the Audi Ajax Cup, hosts an Après Party from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the base of Aspen Mountain and the St. Regis. Après Party-Only tickets go on sale Nov. 18.

The Audi Ajax Cup’s day of alpine racing finishes at 2 p.m. Then, the Après Party to celebrate the race begins. The event will feature live music, including both DJ Naka G spinning EDM electronic dance music and the live band AMA5, marking the first time live music has been at this event. There will be specialty cocktails, culinary treats, and a silent auction. The auction includes items like tickets and transportation to an Avalanche game, or a year’s membership to Snowmass Mountain Club. For 2025, the venue has moved to a larger open-air and indoor setting at the St. Regis Aspen. The Après Party-Only ticket early bird price is $299. The early bird combo ticket includes the Après Party for $349, while the VIP tickets are $649. 



For those truly wanting the pinnacle of party experiences, exclusive luxury yurts are available for groups of 10 for $25,000 per yurt. There is an age requirement of 21 years or older to purchase tickets. To purchase, go to teamavsc.org/Ajax-Cup-Tickets. For more information, go to teamavsc.org.

Teen auditions in Aspen, Nov. 18 

Auditions for “To Tell a Story About the Earth,” the 9th-12th grade winter play, will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Black Blox Theatre at Aspen High School. Each audition fits into a 10-minute time slot. The callbacks will be 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 19, with performers required to attend for the full session. The show will be performed Jan. 15-18, 2026. Actors in any high school are eligible to audition. The auditions will be located at Aspen High School, 199 High School Rd. For more information, go to Theatre Aspen‘s website.

‘Small Wonders’ opens at The Aspen Chapel Gallery, Nov. 19

The 18th annual “Small Wonders” art show will be presented 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Aspen Chapel Gallery. “This is an opportunity for artists to share their special talents with special neighbors at friendly prices. A win-win for all,” Basalt-based Artist Linda Loeschen said in a press release. The gallery’s 263rd exhibition will present 36 artists’ original and affordable art no larger than 12″ x 12″. Aspen Chapel Gallery partnered with Holiday Baskets to present the show. Together, they will provide 300 families and 1300 individuals with gifts and food cards to serve those referred to by local social service agencies. Hotel Jerome will be hosting an elegant dinner with the legendary Champagne Louis Roederer. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Garden Room, followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. in the Prospect. The evening will begin with an intimate reception before moving to the Prospect for a five-course dinner. Each dish is thoughtfully paired to reflect the nuance and character of Champagne Louis Roederer. As bubbles rise and candlelight dances, Hotel Jerome, located at 330 E.
