With over two decades of experience behind the turntables, DJ Alex Brough is a master of 7-inch vinyl records, curating unforgettable sets that have entertained celebrities, politicians, rockstars, and royalty.
Growing up immersed in Aspen’s rich cultural scene, Alex developed a deep passion for music and entertainment. His experience is complemented by his expertise in culture marketing for major brands, filmmaking, and nightlife. He has produced large-scale events featuring some of the world’s biggest stars, created award-winning music documentaries, and has worked in the entertainment industry for the majority of his life.
He is currently serving as the president of Cannabition museum in Las Vegas, and in his role as the music curator at The W Hotel, he continues to set the tone for iconic experiences with a unique blend of timeless grooves and cutting-edge sounds.
Audi Ajax Cup, Monday, Dec. 30, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Aspen Mountain
The Audi Ajax Cup is Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club’s signature annual fundraiser, raising over $1 million each year. These funds help AVSC empower youth across the greater Roaring Fork Valley, allowing them to excel as athletes and individuals through winter sports.
This exciting dual GS race features 16 teams competing head-to-head, with the victorious team earning the prestigious Gorsuch Cup.
Now in its 15th year, the Audi Ajax Cup promises to be the most exhilarating yet! Set against the backdrop of Aspen Mountain, “Race Day” concludes with a vibrant après-ski celebration that combines tradition with the flair of a neon retro ski party. This iconic event, made possible by the incredible team at EKS Events, is the ultimate holiday festivity in Aspen.
Benefiting the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club’s 3,000-plus athletes, the Audi Ajax Cup features head-to-head slalom races on Little Nell Hill at Aspen Mountain followed by an après ski party at Chica Aspen. The Audi Ajax Cup helps raise $2.5 million in financial aid to support local athletes.
City of Aspen, New Year’s Eve Celebration, Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1-8:30 p.m., Sister Cities Plaza/Wagner Park
1 p.m.: Toast some s’mores over the fire in Sister Cities Plaza, downtown Aspen.
1-3 p.m.: Enjoy a local DJ and some family-friendly live entertainment.
3-6 p.m.: Head over to the Aspen Ice Garden for free public ice skating. Rental ice skates will be provided for as long as supplies last, and festival costumes and attire are encouraged.
8 p.m.: Look up to Aspen Mountain for a firework display to ring in the new year.
Hotel Jerome’s NYE Supper Club with Lexi Lawson, Tuesday, Dec. 31, 7:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m.
Toast to 2025 with a New Year’s Eve at Hotel Jerome’s Supperclub. This evening of food, drink, and celebration starring Broadway sensation Lexi Lawson, accompanied by her 12-piece band, dancers, and featured vocalists, will ignite your New Year’s Eve experience with a modern take on the Supperclub.
NYE Supper Club guests will begin the evening with a cocktail reception featuring an open bar and bites from Hotel Jerome’s culinary team before moving into the club for a multi-course dinner paired with performances highlighting headliner Lexi Lawson. Top off the evening with dancing, an open bar, and of course the traditional champagne toast to ring in the new year!
Renowned actress, Broadway star, and singer Lawson is best known for her work in Lin Manuel Miranda’s 11-time Tony award-winning phenomenon “Hamilton” as the leading female role of Elizabeth Hamilton at the height of the show. She logged over 1,000 performances with rave reviews in national and international publications around the world such as Vogue, Rolling Stones, InStyle, Marie Claire, and The New York Times. “Hamilton” received a record-setting 16 Tony nominations, winning 11, including Best Musical, and was also the recipient of the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Lawson will be accompanied by world-class male vocalists Michael Cartwright and Aaron Durr along with a full 12-piece band.

Snowlodge NYE Experience, Tuesday, Dec. 31, 9 p.m., Snow Lodge, St. Regis, Aspen.
The Snow Lodge will be hosting “A Futuristic Cosmic Voyage” New Year’s Eve 2025. Starting at 9:00 p.m., this event will feature a high-energy performance by world-renowned DJs David Guetta, Cedric Gervais, and Blu DeTiger in the Grand Astor Ballroom. Guests will experience an evening with elevated food and drinks, including the Sapphire Reserve Signature Cocktail in a lavish Champagne Lounge, offering an immersive, futuristic atmosphere.
