A worthy cause
Dear Editor:I would like to thank our patrons, sponsors and supporters who helped to make the recent Aspen Community Church spaghetti dinner fundraiser such a success. The money raised will help to fund our work promoting sustainable agriculture, bringing clean water, and making improvements to the Kithoca Primary School in Meru, Kenya. Several members of our congregation will be traveling to Meru this November to work side by side with the people of Meru in helping them to achieve their goals. In particular, we would like to thank Rudy Argueta and Rose Irvine for preparing the food, and to Stephanie and John Swim and Aspen Party Rentals. For food and drinks we thank Aspen Brewing Co., Carl’s Pharmacy, City Market, Clark’s Market, Main Street Bakery, Of Grape and Grain, Paradise Bakery, Republic National Distributing Co., Ute City Bar & Grill and Walt Harris. And, of course, we also thank our patrons and sponsors Ralph Melville, Paula Zurcher, Ramsey and Steve Kropf, Stephanie and John Swim, Fran Davies, Chet Winchester and Harry Feldman. If you would like more information about our projects in Meru or the team trip in November, please give me a call.Jane Keener-Quiatpastor, Aspen Community Church
