A welcome boost for The Buddy Program
Last Thursday afternoon, The Leadership Development Board of the Buddy Program threw our second annual pre-bash reception to promote ticket sales for the 2011 Boogies Bash for the Buddies, FENDI Lounge.
I always feel blessed to live in such a special town but the kindness and generosity BB’s Kitchen showed us last week truly exemplified the spirit of Aspen. Between the gorgeous patio and delicious fare we were able to treat our guests to a wonderful evening while raising awareness and money for one of the most precious causes that exists – our valley’s youth.
We also enjoyed some local cheer donated by Aspen Brewing Co. and were able to give away a wonderful door prize courtesy of our friends at Esco Bar. So to a wonderful local, community effort and to Fisk Biggar, head chef, Mark Buley, and the team at BB’s kitchen, on behalf of The Leadership Development Board please accept our most gracious thank you – you are truly appreciated.
We’ll see you on the patio this summer.

The property tax overcharge refunds are in the hands of Basalt residents. A new civic organization is cranking up its campaign to have recipients contribute some or all of their refunds to the Basalt Gives effort to benefit midvalley-serving nonprofits.
