A ‘vicious tirade’

Re: Reader Response

A truly deranged letter to the editor was delivered by Susan Pizzini (“Sympathy is lost”) on Dec. 3. I have no idea why Tony Vagneur’s column would incite an unhingement powerful enough to cause Ms. Pizzini’s vicious tirade. I would suggest that she definitely not read any Cormac McCarthy. In prefacing her rant, she wrote, “Mr. Vagneur’s attempt at getting sympathy for horse slaughter (Nov. 17, The Aspen Times) is lost on me.” I think that isn’t all that’s lost on her.
