A Toast to WinterAspen’s annual winter carnival keeps January lively
The Aspen Times
Every winter, in the short lull between the holiday rush and the X Games madness, Aspen celebrates the winter in its own unique way. And this year’s Wintersköl — the 66th edition, being staged under the theme “Our Cup Runneth Over” — is no different. The festivities kicked off Wednesday, continue through tomorrow and feature longtime favorites such as the Canine Fashion Show and Wintersculpt as well as new events like the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club GlowMan Rail Jam. In all, the five-day toast to winter includes dozens of events for locals and visitors of all ages, making it the perfect story for this week’s installment of a Week in the Life.
