A team effort for ‘The Nutcracker’

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the faculty of the School of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2012 production of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet’s “The Nutcracker.”

The students worked very hard, and each and every one can be proud of their performance. There were more than 140 local students involved in the shows this year. It was an epic undertaking, and the students pulled it off with grace, commitment, dedication and flair. To top it off, it was an amazing experience for those students to work so closely with professional dancers in Aspen’s only professional ballet company.

A special thank-you goes out to all those parents who volunteered their time and energy during the rehearsals and to those who provided transportation for our students to rehearsals. We thank you all for coming out and attending the performances, supporting our talented students and professional company. “The Nutcracker” was truly a success, and it wouldn’t have happened without the dedication of our students and their families.

It was so rewarding for the faculty and staff to see our students shine in “The Nutcracker.” We are truly grateful to each of you for all that you gave during the rehearsal and performance period. We wish you all a wonderful holiday season and joy and happiness in the coming new year.
