A taxing idea

Dear Editor:

When multimillion-dollar homes are built in a neighborhood with older houses, tax the new owners as follows:

– The new owners pay the difference between the neighbors’ old property tax and the new.

– If another house is built, then the two owners split the cost of the old neighbors’ new taxes.

– Continue as such until the old owner sells. Or rebuilds.
