A special night awaits us
A shout-out to Jan Garrett and J.D. Martin who, for the 21st time, are once again bringing the Winter Solstice concert to the Aspen Community Church at 7 tonight. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
If you’ve not experienced this evening and are feeling the pressure and stress of the holidays, this is a time to pause, to take a deep breath, to express gratitude, to feel connected. One of the most special of Aspen’s events, this annual ritual celebrates the longest night of the year, the beginning of the holiday season, and the soul of the Aspen community.
In this old church, with its well-worn wooden pews, its candlelit sanctuary, and sweet, near-perfect voices raised in song, it’s a jewel of an evening not to be missed. See you there.
