A special memory

Dear Editor:I just wanted to say thank you and express my appreciation to the Aspen Skiing Co., especially Rich Burkley, and the Aspen Recreation Center, especially Jo Jo, for being so generous during the holidays.My husband and I sponsored our dear friend who lost his wife to brain tumors Nov. 26 to come out to Aspen for a visit with his five beautiful children ranging in ages from 2 to 14 years, now motherless. They do not have much money with all the medical bills and loss of work on his part to care for the children and his wife the past year and a half. However, both the Aspen Skiing Co. and the ARC provided passes to their facilities for the five days they were here, allowing them to enjoy a vacation full of activities and fun.The children had a great time and were properly worn out by the time they left, and dad even smiled a few times himself. Thank you. You have helped provide a lasting special memory for us all in a time of sadness.Anna ScottAspen
