A sculptor’s gratitude

Dear Editor:Thanks to all the people of Basalt for encouraging and tolerating my recent effort, “Sandy Moore Meets Goliath.”It is an attempt to trim a stately old cottonwood into something aesthetically pleasing and succinct AND still preserve the life of this corner landmark. Thanks to: Jim Snyder and Cody Christopher for the fly rod ‘n’ line; Sand Moore for “dressing up” and modeling; Russ Schweis (Mr. Electric), Joe Zelins, Big Bob, Frank Wright and Reyes Bulmario, for their organizational skills. Also, John Galvin for scaffolding; the Basalt Town Council for their promptness in making a decision to accept my proposal; Tom “T-Bird” Redfern for finishing advice; and Lisa Dinardo for facilitating the whole project and accommodating my every need. Thanks again to all.Larry Lefner, sculptorWoody Creek
