A real honor

It was a real honor, indeed, to be brought up on stage last week when the Olympic torch came through town.

When I was on the U.S. Ski Team from 1975 to 1984 I did so as an individual, without representing any particular hometown or ski club. I had left Aspen when I was 12, then I returned to Aspen in 1984 when I was 30.

Thanks to all the people who brought the torch here, all the torch runners, all the choir members, and especially to Warren Klug, who did so much to coordinate the festivities for the Olympians.

Whatever we can do to support Casey Puckett, Chris Klug and Kate Monahan in the Salt Lake Olympics will be cherished by them forever.

Thanks Aspen.
