A raw deal, courtesy United

Dear Editor:My daughter has been a flight attendant since 1985, flying United customers to Aspen with United Express. United has enjoyed great service and safe flights all these years. This is all coming to an end in April when Air Wisconsin stops supplying this service to United.United is hoping to replace the Air Wisconsin flight with a new 70-seat regional jet operated by another carrier. But the real cooker is that the Air Wisconsin employees who are currently flying United’s passengers to Aspen had their United travel benefits taken away last Thursday, March 23, at midnight without notice.I am a World War II veteran, a “WASP” pilot (Women’s Airforce Service Pilot). I was visiting my daughter and speaking at her Daughters of the American Revolution meeting last Friday. I flew in on United and now have to find another way home! If I had been out of the country I don’t know what I would have done without having my daughter to help me, as United is not helping anyone!I just think it is so wrong for a company to treat loyal employees this way, especially given the fact they are still working their flights until the end of April.I just thought someone should hear the story.Betty Jo ReedCorinth, Texas
