A professional response

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Music Festival community, I want to thank the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office and Mountain Rescue-Aspen for helping us locate three of our music students who spent the night, rather unexpectedly, up the Conundrum Creek Valley on Monday. We all breathed a sigh of relief at their return Tuesday afternoon, by their own power, safe and sound.

From the moment we called the authorities on Monday night, through the students’ happy arrival home, everyone we dealt with was professional, patient and extremely competent. Our sincere thanks go to them for their outstanding commitment. Our community is truly lucky to have such professionals on duty.
