A poem for Colleen

Dear Editor:Success at the polls brought the party’s worst fears,Truden’s the worst ever seen in so many years,Inept though she is, that ain’t enough, Lyin’ and cheatin’, just tryin’ to be tough. When the good ones quit, escort ’em out, Tell the commissioners they can go pout.Ignore the press, what can they say, Sneak in for Fred a little more pay. This can’t go on, it’s got to stop, The whole damn place’s about to flop. You fooled those cops, Colleen, But don’t try to be so mean. This ain’t your time,You better resign.Richard DallyCarbondale
