A plea to Mrs. Crown

Dear Editor:

“The Aspen Institute mission is twofold: to foster values-based leadership, encouraging individuals to reflect on the ideals and ideas that define a good society, and to provide a neutral and balanced venue for discussing and acting on critical issues.” A living wage?

Dear Paula,

Thank you sincerely for the 100K for the dino museum – it was both kind and generous.

Need to ask you a favor and I have a sneaky suspicion you’ll agree with me; the brilliant team of executives at the Aspen Skiing Company loves to ban and censor. My friend, Betsy Fifield, throws Greenaliscious, a fundraiser battling obesity in American kids by promoting healthy lunches. In the past, I have supported it financially and planned to attend again; however, it’s at your lovely hotel, the five-diamond Little Nell. LOL, I promise not to bring flyers. 🙂

Jeff Hanle told Editor Carolyn Sackariason (Aspen Daily News, Feb. 3) that “Mulcahy will be arrested for trespassing” by entering Crown property or for hiking up public lands under your purview.

Ask any of your friends not on your payroll – it’s simply not cool to ban singers, newspapers, or people because you don’t like them. It’s simply un-American.

So, Paula, will you lift the ban in the name of charity?

Lee Mulcahy
