A pernicious hoax
December 19, 2002
President Bush’s obsession with starting a war with Iraq has, through promotion by the fascist leftist liberal news and entertainment industry, now become a National Goal. The commentary in the news coverage of the war now assumes that there will be a war, with no further discussion.
America has collectively forgotten what the costs of combat in a war will be. We have been indoctrinated with the idea that combat in Iraq will be a bloodless, exciting, high-tech adventure, where the only casualties will be the enemy’s soldiers. I cannot imagine a more pernicious hoax.
The American casualties in Iraq will be the best and the brightest of our 18- to 22-year-old citizens, of both sexes. The old, gray-haired senators and congressmen and the effete leftist-liberal news media aristocrats who are promoting this war are safe; they bear no risk of the dangers of combat in Iraq. Congress and the news industry are very willing to sacrifice the lives of our children and grandchildren in their war.
Perhaps we should require that the people who are promoting this war should serve in the front line combat units. I wonder how many senators, congressmen and news media talking heads we would find in the front lines?
After the war is over, America will be able to spit on our returning soldiers at the airports as they return from Iraq. The conditional patriots of the news and entertainment industry will be able to make a lot of money with books, movies and TV shows about how fucked up our Iraq war veterans are.
