A paycheck isn’t enough

Dear Editor:

I believe we have great and honorable people who love to help that work on the election staff in Pitkin County. I do know though that there is a problem with communication through out that office that needs to be fixed.

This very well could be that they have such little space to work in. Still I was given misinformation about how to vote by at least three or four people on the election staff. I was told that it would be suffice identification to vote if you brought a paycheck with your physical address on it. It was not intentional that they gave me the wrong information but I believed it needed to be brought to the public attention. I was able to find another form of identification to vote. I’m proud of my country for being a democracy and the only way it will stay a democracy is if the people continue keep the government in check.
