A parking paradox

Dear Editor:

What’s the purpose of paid parking, raising the prices and wanting to extend paid parking into the neighborhoods? If the purpose is to make money for the city, just ticket the people who go through stop signs, and you’ll make a fortune (besides increasing safety)!

If the purpose is to deter people from driving, once again you’re supporting the rich (they don’t care if they get tickets) and hurting the working locals.
