A nice guy
Dear Editor:
I was so pleased to read Rick Carroll’s Aug. 26 article, “Exile on Main Street,” regarding Ryan Olsen. For many weeks I have seen Mr. Olsen around town and have wondered what his story is. The other day he was at Conoco while I was getting gas. I walked past him and smiled, and he thanked me.
Then he approached me as I was filling up my tank and asked me if I was planning on getting a new tire soon, as it looked a little worn down. He seemed genuinely concerned for my safety. He was so nice and spoke so clearly. I’ve heard and seen people in town taunting him, and I truly hope this article makes them think twice before they bother him again.
