A Movember to remember

Dear Editor:

With the month of Movember just behind us, Movember Aspen would like to graciously thank all the Mo Bros and Mo Sisters out there who made the month a resounding success. The weekly Flaunt You Mo parties around town and downvalley were filled with flashy flavor savers and women in resolute support. And, needless to say, those that attended the month-end Gala at the Belly Up found nothing less than an unrivaled celebration of decades past decadence.

As the lip fringe emerged, so did the cultivation of a new mindset of men’s health. Each participant should take pride in knowing that you have literally saved lives within our community. The financial dedication was consistent with the commitment we find in our locals day in and day out. And, through word of mouth, the Movember congregation confidently completed our mission to encourage men to think seriously about their well-being.

Movember would like to thank personally these businesses that joined the passion: The 24 Hours of Aspen Foundation, The Aspen Center for Women’s Health, Belly Up Aspen, The Aspen Times, KSNO and KUUR and The Peter Lik Gallery. In addition, we would like to thank those that participated by hosting an event or donating valuable gifts to dedicated contestants: Aspen Skiing Co., Autumn In Aspen, Bad Billy’s/Kenichi, The Double Dog Pub, The Eric’s Compound, Jimmy’s Restaurant, JR’s Gym, Lather Salon, L’Hostaria and Lush.

Until next year, stay healthy.

Will Rutledge and Pamela Herr, Co-chairs
