A kid’s thanks

I am in the 6th grade at Aspen Middle School, and very fortunate to have had an art showing thanks to Mr. Don Huntsman and Mr. Terry Badger of the Huntsman Gallery of Fine Arts. Thanks also to Mrs. Kathleen Craig and Mr. Craig O’Brien for their assistance, I had the privilege to display my cartoon artwork beautifully framed and well displayed.

Thanks to these people, I had the privilege to greet and shake hands with about 90 people who attended my September 19 opening.

These people heard about my art debut from Mr. Steve Johnson of The Aspen Times, Mrs. Amy White of the Aspen Daily News and Mr. Sterling Greenwood of the Aspen Free Press who even displayed my drawings on the front cover.

I want to acknowledge all the guests, friends, and tourists that came to see my art work.

I see so many talented kids in this community in so many areas, and I want to encourage them to share their gifts with our well-receiving community. I also want to thank those that donated money for my exhibit and Maureen Oxenburg who advised my mom.

I have God to thank for my ability to draw. I have God to thank for placing people in my path who are so kind to me, and I have God to thank for bringing me to Aspen to know the loving people of this community.

Special thanks to Mr. Huntsman and Mr. Badger for opening their hearts for people to see my drawings.
