A job well done

Dear Editor:

We want to thank the folks from the Basalt Fire Department for their quick response to our daughter’s car crash at the intersection of Highway 82 and Basalt Avenue on Monday afternoon. Special thanks to Christine Benton and Craig Williams for soothing Hannah’s rattled nerves and making sure she was unharmed. She was and is physically fit; her nerves are on the mend.

Also, thanks to the three deputies from the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office and one officer from the Basalt Police Department for responding. It is clear that personnel from all three agencies truly care about victims in incidents. They aren’t just going through the motions. (Now if they could just use their magic to repair our busted-up Prius, we would be amazed.)
