A holiday truce?

Dear Editor:

Do you suppose The Aspen Times and the town of Basalt could agree to a “cease fire” for at least the holiday period?

In the interest of peace on earth and good will toward all, it would be nice to get a short break from the pressure that is building in the system. Perhaps we could actually enjoy each other’s company for a couple of days before we return to business as usual, which, by the way, is going to change in dramatic fashion.

I expect that others feel like I do, that enough is enough. Hug your children and loved ones, take a few days off from the stress, and remember why we are on this planet. Basalt is a strong community of great people who all contribute in their own way to the greater good, and we will continue to grow and prosper in the future.

Happy holidays.
