A helping hand from the Jerome
Dear Editor:
A heartfelt thank-you letter and another powerful reminder of “What a Wonderful World” we live in here in Aspen.
As you may know, the Aspen Community Church was forced into an untimely and unfortunate closing for structural repairs just before Thanksgiving. The church has been outstanding in providing a meeting place for many of our community’s 12-step recovery groups.
For many years the church has been home to our annual Thanksgiving Dinner, a potluck attended by upward of 150 people. This year, four days before the event, we found ourselves “out in the cold.”
Enter the Hotel Jerome, with unbelievable generosity and understanding. Kevin Siegrist, Zach Meyers and Tim Estes offered to host this event, free of charge, in the hotel’s wonderful ballroom.
Historically, the Hotel Jerome has been at the center of our community, opening its doors for those in need. We want to thank you and commend the management team at the Jerome for continuing that long-standing tradition.
From the management who welcomed us to the busboys who brought us coffee and the staff who set the tables and chairs – the Hotel Jerome and its wonderful employees certainly fulfilled the promises of a community that cares!
