A helpful community

We would like to publicly acknowledge the thoughtful people in our community who helped spread some wonderful holiday cheer to many of the children we work with in The Buddy Program.

Fortunately, many individuals that lead life in an exceedingly wealthy culture and community often think of those less fortunate than themselves ? especially around the holidays.

May these peoples’ kind acts of thoughtfulness set a precedent for even more people to consider those less fortunate than they themselves. We see many of these kindhearted people in the work we do at The Buddy Program. More of these types of people will certainly help to make our community a more caring and cohesive place.

A HUGE thank you in particular goes out to The Snowmass Ski Patrol, Jeannette Whitcomb and Linda Vitti. These people collected money and/or donated presents to many of our Little Buddies.

While the presents were important and exciting to the kids, their thoughtfulness, caring and efforts were so very much appreciated by all of us who work so closely with these families.

Thanks also to the several individuals who donated select gifts for Buddy Program Kids. They were much appreciated. The Ski Patrol, Jeannette, Linda and several others all deserve recognition for their time, energy and effort in “making it all happen” for some of the children in our community.

The Buddy Program is beneficial and rewarding to all different kinds of people ? kids, adults, rich, poor, Anglo, Latino, young, old, etc. We couldn’t do our jobs of enriching many people’s lives without the help of all the people who support us in our mission.

Thanks to all our volunteer mentors and helpers who give us the gift of time.
