A healthy community, with Rachel

Dear Editor:With so many important issues and candidates on the upcoming ballot, I hope the members of our community will join me in supporting Referendum 1A, the Healthy Community Fund. This will ensure continued funding for our area’s health, human services and nonprofit organizations. It is truly a quality of life issue.I also hope you will join me in supporting Rachel Richards for Pitkin County Commissioner. Rachel’s long record of public service, her integrity, dedication to issues that matter to us all and devotion to our community, make her poised to help lead Pitkin County into the future.I have worked with Rachel on various projects, programs and organizational efforts, and at every step of the way, I have found her to be articulate, informed and passionate about making this the incredible community we call home. She deserves the opportunity to continue building a better Pitkin County. Please vote for Rachel Richards on Tuesday, Nov. 7, or send in your absentee ballot and make the process count EARLY.Bennett A.
