A great River Days

To everyone involved with the successful fifth annual Basalt River Days, we want to say thank you.

As co-directors of the festival, we feel great honor and huge pride working with the committee that puts together this magnificent community event. These people are truly dedicated in their efforts.

Thanks go to the sponsors and the 180 volunteers who are our essential partners. They enabled us to carry out Basalt’s summer celebration with a style that Basaltines and visitors alike found to be the hometown event they were looking for this year. We hope they will join us next year.

We also thank the Town of Basalt and the Basalt police for their continued support. It has been a pleasure working with these groups.

Special thanks go to Liz Phillips and Linda Cottle from the chamber. The Basalt chamber was pleased to offer this venue for over a dozen local nonprofits to raise funds and showcase their organizations. The Midland Avenue merchants also put in extra effort this year to incorporate their wonderful vitality in the overall event.

For information on winners in the Kiss the Trout contest, the pie baking contest, and other events at this year’s River Days, and for next year’s festival, check our Web site at http://www.basaltriverdays.com, or stop by the caboose.

Again, thank you all and we hope to see you again next year!
