A good idea
Dear Editor:
The Sept. 17 letter written by Tracy Wynn, suggesting that the art museum move to the Given Institute, is, I think, an inspiration, and should be immediately brought into consideration by our town fathers/mothers and seriously thought to be acted upon.
If we are to keep the unusual and remarkable nature of Aspen’s avant-garde, and if we want to continue to “strive to be out of step with the rest of the world,” attempting “things that most cities would never try,” we must keep an “hour ahead,” i.e., daylight savings time even when the rest of Colorado doesn’t.

Aspen Police, neighbors apply for bear management grant
Aspen and Pitkin County have the largest black bear population and as such, are hoping for a big portion of a Colorado Parks and Wildlife grant to help educate and enforcement rules around securing trash.
