A good deal for all
Dear Editor:The Friends of Shadow Mountain strongly endorse the land swap measure on the upcoming election ballot. It represents a huge pain to the public through control of Shadow Mountain lands and enables the city trail system to rapidly connect a number of desired sections. The purpose of the 850-square-foot sliver traded away (gaining the public two acres, or 87.120 feet) is to hold a barely visible private avalanche and rock barrier. This deal is good for all of us.Michael BehrendtAspenFor the Friends board
