A fun and sober event
To the city of Aspen and the Aspen Valley Community Foundation:
We just wanted to share what a terrific community picnic you organized week before last. Valley Partnership had a “booth” and talked to lots of kids and parents. What a great family event!
The fact that it was also alcohol-free was refreshing. People were actually commenting about how “great” it was that there didn’t need to be a keg of beer around. It felt safe, sober, fun and community-oriented.
Many thanks for sending a message that alcohol is not essential at every event.
