A few more things

Dear Editor:

Aspen Skiing Co. pays me well.

Three points and a question:

1. Paying $10/hour to a lift operator is also not a living wage. People for a Living Wage will work all employees.

2. Skico saying less than 1 percent of lessons are $625 private lessons where the instructor is paid $69 is similar to: only 1 percent of workers in sweatshop factories in China are underage children.

3. Social protest has a long history in this town. For numerous examples of social protest, see the Aspen Historical Museum’s 1970s recent exhibit.

Question: Why is someone offering to buy my gas to leave town when I am standing up for the little guys, the most vulnerable? Why not offer to buy their groceries instead?
