A fantastic open space
Our Mayor Ireland is right. There is another side to the coin and it doesn’t take enormous sums of money. Let us save the Marolt Open Space maintained for our use and enjoyment for over 50 years!
Where else in Aspen can you sit on a bench with a 360-degree view of our mountains? Or walk and work in the community gardens, open all season of the year? Or take the trail to our historic mining museum and browse free of charge? And there is the landing field for sky divers where we can watch, taking photographs or drawing. The summer music students have their own fine places to live and practice at the edge of the Marolt Open Space and on the bus routes to Aspen or out to the music campus along Castle Creek.
And for skiing remember the cross country trails are groomed all winter for us … in the Marolt Open Space.
With coins and bills everyone’s concern these Thanksgiving days, let us also maintain good health for all! Let us use the Marolt Open Space Daily!
