A dedication for Tom Blake
Dear Editor:
Mary Beth and Brendan Blake and the Snowmass Arts Advisory Board would like to invite the community to a dedication of public art in honor of Tom Blake. The dedication will take place at 5 p.m. today at the site near the Snowmass Chapel. Funds for the commission of this piece were donated by the many friends of Tom. A call to artists resulted in Gail Fredell, valley artist, being chosen through a jury process to create the piece.
A reception with refreshments will follow the dedication ceremony. The artist will also be in attendance to discuss the piece and answer any questions.
Snowmass Arts Advisory Board was established in 1993 by a town ordinance. Additional information is available on http://www.tosv.com or by calling 274-2478.

Residents able to thwart plan to develop home in Oklahoma Flats
It’s hard to fight City Hall and even harder to fight well-funded neighbors who don’t want any development near them, a local man has realized. So he settled for less than what he and his partner bought the property for.
