A corner of character
Dear Editor:
The Paradise Bakery corner is always filled with lots of people sitting outside soaking up the sun’s rays, listening to the music students in the summer or a rock band in the winter. The views are spectacular. All the buildings on that corner and down the mall are only two stories except for the historic Independence Hotel.
Without a doubt, the character of Aspen’s most favorite gathering place will be forever changed if a three-story, lot-line-to-lot-line, no-open-space big building is approved for that corner. The night sky will be forever changed.
We don’t need another Hotel Jerome or Limelite-sized building on that corner.

Residents able to thwart plan to develop home in Oklahoma Flats
