A contradiction

Dear Editor:

At the ACRA-sponsored County Commissioner Candidate Forum on GrassRoots TV (Oct. 6), I suggested that Shellie Roy is a candidate who encourages sprawl. Shellie responded that she supports the Urban Growth Boundary.

This contradicts her statements at the last debate, also televised by GrassRoots (Sept. 25), where she observed that she was the only candidate for the BOCC who did not support the Urban Growth Boundary.

Sprawl begins with a small exception to the boundary, which is then followed by another exception, which spawns a string of development between Aspen and El Jebel. You can’t have it both ways.
