A commuter’s road study
Dear Editor:Allow me to report my findings: Forget the bus lanes – they don’t work. Get rid of the HOV – it’s been a joke from day one and still doesn’t work, other than to confuse the “new” drivers who learned American rules of driving elsewhere. Allow us to go back to slow drivers in the right lane, leaving the left lane for passing.I propose two lanes across Marolt into town and two lanes using the existing S-curves going out of town. It’s all about flow. Finally, create some open space somewhere to mitigate the loss.I’ve studied this for the past 10 years – twice a day. That’ll be $250,000, per year.Sheila BrennanAspen
