A champion of the Aspen community

Dear Editor:

Occasionally, there are extraordinary people in this incredible town who deserve recognition and gratitude that transcend words. It is within these limitations that I extend special acknowledgment and heartfelt thanks to a real local champion and hero: Mary Eshbaugh Hayes.

As a distinguished photojournalist, perpetual supporter of the arts and priceless community advocate, Mary represents all that is good and uplifting about Aspen. Specifically, Mary’s continuous and generous support of the Red Brick Center for the Arts is absolutely invaluable.

Most recently, her wonderful donations to our Plates and Palates fundraising event were incredible as always. The fabulous “Hot Dog Stand at Lift 1A” and classic “Red Onion” photos were masterful and one of the highlights of the show.

Mary, you are irreplaceable and a true blessing and inspiration to our organization and the entire community. Please accept our praise and appreciation, for we are truly indebted.

Debra Muzikar

Executive director, Red Brick Center for the Arts
