A caring community

Dear Editor:

We are writing to say “thank you” to the entire Aspen community. When Tim’s accident occurred, the community pulled together in an attempt to save his life.

From the ski patrol who transported him off the mountain and did everything in their power to keep him alive, to the doctors, nurses and staff at Aspen Valley Hospital who stabilized him and gave tremendous support to us, to the people of Aspen who prayed and hoped against all odds that Tim would come back to us, we thank you.

After Tim passed away, we were wrapped in the arms of the community. We received flowers, cards, food and most importantly, love and support from everyone. It has brought peace to us to learn of the many people Tim touched.

We know how blessed we are to have had Tim in our lives. We are also blessed to have such loving and supportive friends and community members. We thank you all for what you have done for our family.

With love and great appreciation,

Amy, Brian, Betsy, Clare and Bill Leach
