A call to action: VOTE

Dear Editor:

On a Navy ship there is a signal that goes off and awakens everyone into action. General Quarters is the clarion call on a ship to get it on.

At this time in our history we need this call to action, particularly in the young voter. Every citizen should be asking every person they meet, on a daily basis, “Are you registered to vote?” Then, in about five weeks, every person should sound the alarm: “Are you going to vote?”

If you do not vote in this election, you are surely giving up your right to be called a citizen. This warning must be heeded, and we must show the world that we care once again. Come hell or high water, or a snowstorm, you must vote on Nov. 4. Get it on.
