A call for sensible action

Dear Editor:

I can’t believe the stupidity of wildlife officials. Two years ago when the May frost destroyed the bears’ food, they declined to put food up in the wilderness because it would be interfering with nature. What do they think spraying trees to stunt blooming is?

Have they ever thought of planting more food sources in wilderness areas, so bears do not have a need to come into town?

It breaks my heart how terribly wrong DOW is handling the bear situation and all the bears that are being killed unnecessarily. Please, let’s take sensible action and try to restore wilderness’ food supplies.
