A busy week
Busy week ahead.
On Monday, Oct. 28, Aspen City Council will be taking public comment on Klaus Obermeyer’s application to create a much-needed service/commercial/industrial district across from Rio Grande Park, west of the parking garage.
The project is incredible. Attend the regularly scheduled meeting at 5 p.m. to ask questions or give your support or concerns. Because the project went through the city’s land-use COWOP process, many golden opportunities have opened up for the community.
The one opportunity that I am really excited is there may be “no more muddy shoes in the Rio Grande Park Recycling Center” and that section of the park may be “reclaimed” as park space while the recycling center gets relocated and covered.
On Tuesday, the 29th, budget review of the ARC (Aspen Recreation Center) and the Youth Center.
On Friday, Nov. 1, infamous Steve Bossart’s pool and ice tour of the new facility at Iselin at 10 a.m. Only three more tours left before the new facility opens. Yippee!
