A Buddy-rific event

Dear Editor:

The Buddy Program would like to extend a big thank you to Aspen Skiing Company for once again allowing six lucky Buddy pairs and two staff to spend an awesome evening at the Up 4 Pizza restaurant on Snowmass Mountain last Friday, Feb. 15.

We enjoyed delicious pizza and had a blast playing in the giant snow mound behind the restaurant! Many thanks to Steve Sewell and Amity Ludlow from Snowmass Mountain management for all their help and generosity in planning the event; thanks to JT Weldon of Snowmass Ski Patrol for lining up a snow cat for us, and to Steve Rausch, also from ski patrol, for driving us up to the Big Burn.

Thank you to Snowmass Police for allowing us to park our cars overnight at the Rodeo Lot and a huge thank you to Lund Easterling and the staff at Up 4 Pizza for preparing pizza pies and for letting us stay cozy in the restaurant for the evening. We had a blast and couldn’t have been more grateful for the beautiful sunrise Saturday morning, followed by sunny, fresh corduroy tracks all the way to the base of the mountain! From all of the Buddy pairs that participated, THANK YOU to all that helped make this memorable experience possible!
