A buddy adventure
Dear Editor:Saturday morning, five Big Buddies along with their Little Buddies (aka the luckiest folks in town) skied down Dallas Freeway on Snowmass Mountain in a foot and a half of fresh, untracked powder! The adventure began Friday night and included a snowcat ride, making our own pizzas, and spending the night at Up 4 Pizza on the Burn – it was awesome!The Buddy Program would like to thank Doug Mackenzie, Amity Ludlow and Michelle Dunn for their logistic coordination, Lund and Mihai for letting us stay at the restaurant and for the delicious pizzas, and Mark Gresset for making sure that we all got up to the restaurant and our gear got back down. A big, heartfelt, thank-you to everyone at Aspen Skiing Co. for making this possible for The Buddy Program! X Games Aspen wrap-up: Looking back on my snowboarding predictions for 2023
This wasn’t my best work. I still stand by my original picks to win each of the snowboard contests at X Games Aspen 2023, but fate chose poorly. The main lesson? Don’t pick against Mark McMorris, Marcus Kleveland or Scotty James, unless you have a very good reason.
