A boost for nonprofits

Dear Editor:Many thanks to the staff of Aspen Public Radio, and Roger Adams in particular, for spotlighting the Aspen Poets’ Society during the entire month of May. As a small, relatively young nonprofit (six years old), we are most appreciative of the attention APR bestowed upon us. We hope their generous efforts on behalf of the Aspen Poets’ Society prove fruitful, and we look forward to an expanded attendance at our monthly Live Poetry Nights at Victoria’s Espresso & Wine Bar, as well as increased community support for our special events. Providing a consistent venue for the spoken word has been the main focus of the Aspen Poets’ Society, and we have been rewarded by the many poets and listeners who have made Live Poetry Night a meaningful part of their lives. With the recent support of Aspen Public Radio, we hope to reach the lives of many more Roaring Fork Valley residents and visitors. The nonprofit spotlight is a tremendous boost to local nonprofits. Thank you, again, Aspen Public Radio.Aspen Poets’ Society Ink Board of directorsKim Nuzzo, Rett Harper and Lisa Max Zimet
