A booming event

Dear Editor:

I would like to take the time to thank all the parents, board members, and staff who help make Blue Lake Preschool’s annual “Date Through The Year” fundraiser such a success. In the past nine years, Blue Lake’s fundraiser has gone from a small school gathering to a gala event. Now a public event, the fundraiser boasts such silent auction items as a Trek bicycle, Avalanche tickets and an Apple iPod. Live music, dancing, and food from establishments such as Kenichi, Smoke and Zheng’s help make the evening unforgettable. This event is always a good time and it supports early childhood education. I applaud you all and I hope your event is even more successful this year.

To anyone who is interested in attending this year’s event, it will be held from 6-10 p.m. on April 9 at the Community Gathering Center in Carbondale. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. For more information and/or tickets to the event, please contact Michelle or Melissa at 963-4380.
