A big bowl of thanks
On Saturday, May 17, the Carbondale Clay Center (CCC) hosted the 10th annual Cajun Clay Night. The weather was perfect, the crowd above average and the party a great success. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the many people that made the event possible.
A special thanks goes out to the center’s board of directors for their support and to the event sponsors for their generous donations. Gracious thank-yous are in order to Mark Fischer, from Restaurant six89, and to the other restaurants, from Carbondale to Basalt, for providing tantalizing treats to fill up our bowls. A sincere thanks goes to all the businesses and artists of the valley who graciously donated to our silent auction. Heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the artists who threw nearly 400 bowls for the event and to all the wonderful volunteers who make the event happen. You are all greatly appreciated!
It is wonderful to be a part of an event that brings together people from the entire valley to celebrate.

Aspen police found three rifles, including and AR-15, and a handgun in the home of a man arrested for robbing the Theatre Aspen concession stand at knifepoint last week.
