A bang-up day

Dear Editor:

To the person or persons that backed into my car today … thank you. Really, I had nothing better to do than arrange a body-shop visit to have my entire front bumper replaced tomorrow. And thank you for NOT leaving your insurance information or a phone number or any other indication that you were there besides the nice, big dent in my car. I’m sure my insurance company and my hard-earned wallet will be thrilled to help you out.

So thanks for stopping by. I hope by not doing the right thing and letting me know that you hit my car made your day better, because it certainly put a dent (yes, pun definitely intended) in mine.

If you are the one, or you may have seen it happen, please give me a call (404-2679). It’s only common courtesy; I would do the same for you. White Toyota Corolla, on 6th and Main in Aspen, July 1.

Thanks again for adding a special little something to my day.

Molly Peterson
